Kenyan lakes offer a different kind of appeal to travelers. There are lakes that are a bird watchers’ paradise, lakes that are home to spectacular scenes of hot springs and geysers, lakes with islands, lakes that Kenya shares with other countries and lakes that have some of the most interesting existence stories. It is here that you can find one of Kenya’s most famous images depicting clouds of brilliant pink flamingos rising from a glittering lake with the shadow of the Great Rift Valley in the background.
